Genuinely felt like I’d been for a run 🥵

Husband has gone for an induction session for his new job. He will actually working locally, but because it’s a national company he was looking at a 3+ hour drive to get to where he needed to be, so he drove up yesterday afternoon, which led to me...

...having my first night in the house on my own since I smashed my knee. Complete with having to stay up ‘late’ - 10pm - to let the dogs out, and get up early today to - guess what? - let the dogs out 😍.

As I really didn’t want to fall asleep on the sofa - for one thing it would have been cold overnight, and for another? Our current sofa is nowhere near long enough to sleep on (and I’m only 5’5”) - I opted to do my workout out late yesterday evening. And because I know a cardio session always used to leave me feeling invigorated I chose an equipment free wheelchair workout.

I was already pretty warmed up after drifting around downstairs doing some of the ‘invisible’ housework that husband hasn’t been doing, so doing Ella’s built in warm up really did get my heart rate up. Then I really tried to put some effort in to the workout itself, and it looks like I succeeded. 👍

Great effort, that looks like my normal day’s activities heart rate😅 had to change the zones otherwise my whole life is in zone 4/5 apart from resting where it’s nicely low. Amazing how much dirt hubbies don’t see🤣

My watch is still set to my running HR zones, though I’m definitely not that fit right now, they

still match my perceived effort 👍

It’s the little things like door knobs, light switches and taps he misses. And the sink in the downstairs loo 🧐 it’s like he thinks it should stay clean as it’s only used for hand washing 🤦‍♀️

Sounds as though you’re keeping busy Maddee even if you can’t run! I should say though, with my almost daily experience (😳), it’s entirely possible to sleep on the sofa even if it’s not very long!

I can nap on it, which is how I know that if I’d slept all night on it I wouldn’t have been able to move this morning. My knee especially would have been agony.

Our old sofa was very past it, but it was excellent for sleeping on.
