First 10k ever!

A bit naughty this was my 9k run but I seemed to be

flying today, for me anyway. Got a 10k done in what should have been my 9k time, taken from previous two 8k runs that took 1.09 plus.

That's a nice 10K you ran today HappyNoodle along the side of the River Thames, it would be mainly off road and through Battersea Park.

Congratulation on running your first 10K, well done, it wasn't long that the words 60minGraduate were next to your username because if you tell the administrators that you have ran your first 10K the word GRADUATE10 will now appear next to your username.

That could catch on, like C25K to run a 10K now could be

"From Covid 19 to 10K". There have been so many people taking up cycling and running since March, yesterday I went on a bike ride and saw as many as 30 other cyclists and around 10 runners all in the space of less than 90 minutes.

After a nap 😴 or maybe during a nap. Wiped out now. Try to go Keto and body is not used to lack of carbs for runs feels good at the time but after it’s a fight to stay awake 🤣

I was a bit knackered after my first 10k but it gets better.

As for Keto I don't know anything about it . But I've lost over 4 and half stone and I didn't cut out carbs just the chocolate. As I was addicted to it 🤣

I was too. I’ve lost 10kg and the weight loss has stalled for the last month. So I thought I’d try something different. I think I might have not been eating enough though as I really wanted to lose it fast. Anyway hubby wants to try this himself so I thought I’d give it a go.

Nice one, nice route. Most of my long distance training was done around there. Try and extend it by going from Battersea to Hyde Park via Sloane Avenue. If you lap Hyde Park that's a nice 10k or so altogether. Loads of good opportunity for long relaxing runs in that area.

I’ll have a look at Hyde Park I’m planning on training for an HM for next year so it’ll be good to try different routes.
