First Park Run

So my first Park Run, was nervous about it but went with my twin sons (25) who go most weeks. Really pleased that I completed it without walking and not a bad time either, I really enjoyed running with other people, never done that before. That was also my second run of week 1 of ‘The Bridge’. Now to start my ironing!! Happy Saturday everyone 😊

Didn’t quite run with them as they can do it in about 22 mins but they did cheer me over the line!!

Still sounds wonderful to me! I wonder whether they compete with each other. A super speedy pair. I expect they are delighted with your progress. Congratulations! 🍾🥂

Wow! Great time! 😀 You would have had time to dash back & give me a piggyback & still be faster than me! 😂

That's a great time for your 1st parkrun Karen. Well done. Great to do it with your sons too. Enjoy the bridge to 10k; I've just started W5.

Looking forward to getting stuck into it, have been prevaricating all summer but think I made the right decision to wait for the cooler weather 😊

Yes it’s certainly easier to run now, so long as short days are not a problem.

Brilliant time Karen, well done! What’s the app you used to record the times?

I use a Fitbit which helps me as it gives me split times every km.

Well done, what a fab time for your first parkrun! My husband is like your speedy twins & waits for me at the end to cheer me on the final sprint. Bless our speedy menfolk! Shame they don't speedily do the ironing too!!

Wishing you many happy future parkruns....
