Well I had to just make sure the last one wasnβt a fluke. Up at 5:15am out by 6. Weather was perfect nice and cool, set off at a reasonable pace, breathing good, but had a dry mouth today for some reason. WWE Anthology playing loud...great for running. More traffic on the roads these days, so forced to sprint a few times across the junctions.
3rd of the way there encountered a bin lorry π got a nice lung full of bin juice flavoured air...yuck....get past it, no thoughts allowed in my mind....thoughts = gremlins, donβt need those today. Park entrance, home straight, lengthened my stride and squeezed out every last bit of energy Kurt Angle theme came on, love that one.....then it fades Fitbit voice says 5k in 29:42 π 13 seconds shaved off my PB !!!! Walk / slow run home was all the sweeter with that time repeating in my head.....definitely moving on to my next challenge now....Good Luck to everyone running today π

Great run. Has me wondering how I could run to Takerβs theme, but then both Rollinβ and American Badass do get a play when I decide to take the headphones out! Traffic becoming a slightly bigger issue here, but that means there will be less walkers on my trails π

Thatβs brilliant running- am imagining the bin lorry nowπ I managed a 30:26 yesterday with a similar sort of focus- not down to 30 yet ( well my Fitbit probably is, as it over estimates distance and pace in my rural area but Garmin said 30:26 ) but am hoping in the next month or so I might get there. You will be down to 29 soon!!!!! πͺπͺπͺ
You will AlysP, if itβs any help I found just having light snacks the day before rather than a meal helped, first sub 30 took me weeks, I got to 30:10 and was at the point where I thought that will do....then one morning I thought sod it, Iβm going to do it today and really went for it....when I heard 29 instead of 30 I was thrilled....stick with it π

Do the Ju Ju plan!! I am on 9k now on the plan and loving it- then itβs the sub 30 mins 5k so I am doing it the other way round to you. We will both achieve bothππ

I am not sure if I am more impressed with the personal best of that fantastic time or getting up at 5:15! I could do with good advice on how you manage that.
I set my alarm and when I wake up I watch a You Tube motivational video, which never fails to get me out there.......the link to which is on my Bed To 5k post.....give it a go.....Rise and Shine ππββοΈ
Thanks Banana12, you canβt beat the early mornings, so much cooler and better air quality.....itβs taken me about 17 attempts to get there in under 30 mins, distance next 10k, let weather cool down first though π
