What we do for a virtual badge!

I'm not usually one for venturing out running in the heat, I take plenty of rest days and am definitely in the "any run can wait a day" camp ... but, but, it's the last day of July and I was a mere mile short of hitting 40k in a month for the first time ever, so out I went for a hot run. Quite proud of myself.

Congratulations on running 40K in a month, you deserve to be very proud of yourself, just thinking back, this July I have ran 1/11K, 1/12K, 1/13K and a 10 miles run, that is just over 16K, in addition to those mid week runs 1 have ran 4/5K (not) parkruns, so both of us have done a fair amount of running on the month that is about to finish. 😊 🏃🏾

Well done! My longest runs are still only 8k, so I have a way to go to catch you :)

Great effort running in the heat for your 40k badge - same again next month now you know you can do it? Happy running 🤗

Ha, maybe, I can but try :) I've been back on the Magic Plan for distance, having done it for time a while back, then getting hit with a bad chest infection and various bouts of extensor tendinitis, both of which curtailed the running a tad. I'm doing quite well with my running during lockdown, but also doing 5-6 classes a week with my daughter (pilates, fitness, step and body conditioning) and averaging 4 good walks with hubby, including some proper hikes in the hills, so it's a good week if I fit a couple of runs in!

Sounds like a well rounded fitness regime with the whole family - fantastic. 🤗

Indeed, it's been interesting to see how my speed and endurance have improved, without any extra running effort - all those squats etc are obviously paying off! Buns of steel and all that!!

...and that's why it's always good to have a goal! Well done on getting out there, getting the job done and completing your Challenge! 🙂👍
