Just received from the post yesterday. Mine are a little more boring than Granspeed 's new beauties, but I was able to get my requisite pink splash. I ended up ordering from a Vancouver running store that had cheaper shipping fees, but less selection. Both are lightweight - the black are unisex mini crew (my preferred length), the pink are a women's sized no show. And both are one size smaller than my ultra trail toe socks I bought last year. My road shoes are less boxy in the toes and I'm between sizes so thought I'd see which fit better ...for my next order π. Time to test a pair out on today's long run ππββοΈπ

Happiness is....(Part 2)
I'm developing sock envy π
Better jump on that bandwagon! Youβre toes will be so happy to practice social distancing π€£
Now there's a sales pitch ππ€
Enjoy your run in your lovely new socks. Love the pinkπ€
Thanks! I took the black pair out for a 13 km jaunt today and they were great. I noticed that they have less padding than my ultra trail toe socks (as advertised) but no hot spots or irritated irritated edge of mybig toe where it crosses under my second toe at all. Yippee! I'll be testing out the pink pair on my next shorter run.
Iβm beginning to think Iβm missing out by not having any of these socks! Will they make me run any faster ?!
π€I'm not running any faster but my toes are much happier π. I find as I increase my distance I get a blister that becomes a callus on the inner edge of my big toe where it crosses under my second toe (darn bunion). I thought having the fabric between my toes would be annoying but I don't notice it all.
They look so βcome and try me on and give me a runβ ππββοΈ Many happy running miles in them Saska πββοΈ
Thanks IP. I'm looking forward to some longer warmer runs as my HM plan ramps up. My feet are ready π£. Whoop! Whoop! They may have cancelled the race but I still have a plan to run it and celebrate. Just without the crowds and at my familiar lake instead of beautiful busy Banff.
99 posts! Can't wait for the 100th!!!
Hmmm. Hadn't realized I was approaching that milestone! I'll have to put some thought in. I had a great long run today I thought about posting about but got too busy. We'll just have to see......
How are you? Hope you are keeping well x
Thanks for asking. I am doing very well. I ran my virtual HM last weekend at the lake so am currently taking a little break from running but am itching to get out there again. I have 3 more days of work then I will be back at the lake for a week and a half. I should be getting some footloose and fancyfree runs in while I'm there but I am taking a break from following any sort of plan for the summer. I haven't been on here much the last couple months because I was really struggling with work bogging me down but am starting to feel like my head is getting above water with a holiday coming up and my HM completed. I haven't had much time to read many posts lately but I saw one awhile ago that I believe you made it to 16k. How is the journey going?
It's great to hear from you. Well done on your recent HM π Always a terrific achievement. I thought you'd be snowed under at work so I'm pleased some well deserved rest is on the horizon. It sounds like an idyllic place to recharge. Love the idea of no plan. That's how I like to run now too. Look after yourself and I hope you take time for you on holiday. Stay well π
Magnificent socks Sask! Happy running to you and your lucky feet! πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
Thanks cheeky! I'm looking forward to some lovely Spring and summer runs in them π. Today's run was a great testament to what is to come.
Spring and summer more than make up for winter donβt they? π βοΈ π· π πββοΈβ€οΈ
