For anyone that has read my recent posts you’ll know I’ve been targeting a sub 30 mins 5km. Well this morning it finally happened, the time did make me laugh, but every second counts right?

As you say - every second counts and that is definitely a sub-30 min 5k! Well done!πŸ‘πŸ™‚

Some people think to get a sub 30 minute 5k you achieve that by running for 30 minutes, that is wrong, to get a sub 30 minute 5k you must have ran it in a time of 29.59 which you have just ran, congratulations.

Brilliant, well done :-)

As you correctly say, every second counts and that is most certainly sub 30 mins.

Hello Scott, That’s fantastic πŸ₯³πŸ€Έβ€β™€οΈπŸ‘πŸ» I imagine you are very pleased indeed. I’m so glad you found your way back to this forum and rediscovered your motivation. I’ve yet to reach that goal but it’s on my list πŸ˜ƒ

Thanks. I’m sure you’ll get there. It took me a while but the last few weeks it just feels to be clicking.

Ab-so-lutely fantastic ScottJB. Too right, every second does count. Imagine how much it would have counted if your time had been 30:01 - or even 30 on the nose!

Really well done! πŸ’ͺ

Fantastic time well done. That's the time I am targeting too. My last 5k was 30.01 mins. So close yet so far.

Enjoy chipping away at your time. Good luck.

Thanks, my last run before that was 30:03 so was getting close. I’m sure it will only be a matter of time for you too.

That's so cool. One second in. Not sure what terrain you're running on, but I bet if you measured your running on an athletics track it would a bit faster still.

Do all my runs on the road, I can’t escape hills where I am either

GPS can be bit inaccurate (so I've been told) so it's always worth visiting a sports centre (they're opening soon) and getting a true 5k time on a 400m track (12.5 times round). Most of us will be coming in quicker than we thought.
