It’s Tuesday morning so must be (not)parkrun day because there went Dexy5, UpTheStanley, Mr and Mrs Coddfish and me in our Parkrun T-shirts brightening up a rather dull and damp seafront. If you’re thinking ‘that doesn’t look like Oldgirlruns in the middle of that motley crew, you’re correct - we were delighted to welcome JonathanP to our ranks this morning after long time no see! It was nice OGR running weather - dull, a bit windy and ‘damp’ on occasions although fortunately not soaking! We managed to squeeze in a post run coffee before the heavens opened so all in all, a good day! And me? Well I did a (not)parkrun PB of 48:39 so I’m happy with that and, more importantly, I have an appointment at our local independent running shop this afternoon so I’m really hoping there might be a pair of new shoes with my name on them! Happy Running peeps
It’s that motley crew again!: It’s Tuesday... - Bridge to 10K
It’s that motley crew again!
Well you've had a great day. A non parkrun meet up , a pb, great running weather and to top it all off maybe some new shoes. Lovely photo 😊🏃♂️🏃♀️
Well done on that PB Oldgirlruns; an excellent time. Just think, in new shoes you might be bounding along.
Mine was 35:31 today so not as good as windy Sunday but pleased with that. I think I may have come in closest to 10:00 again too, at 10:00:31, but Mr Coddfish may have been close too .
So lovely to see JonathanP too.
Just lovely to see you all looking bright and runny and sounds a great run even if it’s grey out there. Ooo and new shoes... how exciting. You get to buy happiness 👍😀
Thanks for writing up. Fortunately the rain mostly held off on the walk home. I think on the whole, I would rather run in occasional light drizzle than in the recent sweltering heat. But coffee in the sun beats coffee in the damp. See you next week, same time, same place.
For the record, my time was a (not) parkrun PW (not a typo ) at 25'13" - 12'20 out, 12'53 back. Didn't take enough advantage of the wind coming from astern over the first 2k. Great to see JonathanP , and the sausage bap went down well again .
Well I thought the time was right for a bit of (not) parkrun tourism! So having received a kind invitation from the aforementioned motley crew, I headed south this morning. The weather wasn't promising - but in the end the clouds over the Solent were kind to us with a (more or less) rain-free window.
Following UTS and Dexy's recent suggestion, I decided to start off into the wind, thus benefiting from it on the return leg. However unexpectedly my first km was my quickest at 5.23! Overall I was rewarded with a (not) parkrun PB of 27.50 - plus of course the opportunity to see my running buddies' happy smiling faces!😀
That looks a lovely, sociable bunch of running buddies. Good luck in the shop - shall be looking out for your photos!!
Great photo, fantastic to meet up with the others. Well done on your new time, excellent. I hope you got those lovely new shoes. Happy running everyone 🤗
Look at those bright lights I love that you are all meeting up like this
I saw your new shoes post, so a good day for you
Perfect 😊
Well done crew, sounds like a lovely morning - and that weather? Well, how perfect can you get? 👏👏
