hi im about to finish c25k but have had a look at the fitness 22 and don't really like the look of it due to it being intervals and then being expected to run. any other good plans?

I got to 10K by running 5K x 3 times per week initially for about 6 weeks. This is important. Run 5K x 3 times per week for about 6 weeks first. This will build up your running legs. After this i then picked one of those runs as a long run. Each week I just added 500 meters to the long run. Also check out JuJu’s magic 10K plan on this forum.

After you have completed c25k it's advised that you run for 30 minutes 3x per week for a few weeks to consolidate . After that this is the plan that loads of people used to get to 60 minutes or 10k. Good luck 👍

Go on the bridge to 10k forum and look in the pinned posts for the plan. I went straight on it but did need to consolidate more once I got to 10k although I did it in 3 weeks 🤣

I’ve just started the Nike Run Club coach runs. I picked the race prep option and the 10K plan is personalised to me. The first two weeks, it makes you try a mix of Speed, Endurance, Recovery and Tempo runs and further customises it to suit you. Mine is a 14 week programme because I’ve signed up for a run end September but it’ll personalise it according to when you want to achieve the 10k. I’ve done 2 (5K and speed interval) runs on it so far and it’s really decent! I will say though, that the pace tracking is a bit inaccurate (as my Fitbit reflected I was faster than the app on my phone did) and only properly syncs with garmin watches.

Also, as others have said here, because I graduated C25K about 2 weeks ago, I have been consolidating with 5K runs and hence the more gradual, 14 week build-up to a 10k. Really important to start the 10K journey with more 5K consolidation runs. And that why NRC is great for tailoring it to your needs. Just don’t do too much to fast and risk injury!
