It was another early morning new route tryout run for me today, from Northampton to Blisworth and back all along the canal towpath, there and back about 10k. Its certainly a route I shall be repeating with a variety of narrow boats, ducks and even a heron to look at along the way it was a good and really interesting run. It was sunny and about 13 degrees, now I'm home the skies have turned dark grey and it looks as though more rain is coming, I think I timed it right 😊 . . . hope everybody is having a good running weekend πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ˜€

Nice photos you took on your run today, there is a lot of rain around the UK today so you were lucky like me yesterday who had a run before the rain came.

Thanks, its actually quite rare that I take my phone with me, its usually just my old school mp3 player so I was lucky I had it with me as there were quite a few photo opportunities this morning 😁

Yes, I'm trying some new routes at the moment to add a bit of variety, its was certainly more successful than my previous new route a few days ago - I got lost in a country park! 🀣🀣🀣

That looks a super route and how great is it we can explore like this? New routes and runs are really exciting to be honest. I had a little 5 mile run this morning and enjoyed it being breezy. Well done on another 10k!

Yes it was really good, it didn't seem as far as 10k with all the things to see . . .

Sounds like the per8route for a neat 10k, lots to keep your interest. Weather so changeable but cooler temperatures definitely a plus. Happy running πŸ€—

lovely along the canal there. I think I have been wanting to try the canal -it is flat! The trouble is ,our government says we have to 'stay local', and that means about a radius of 5 miles from home- not sure if the canal is further than that.. perhaps as the crow (or heron ) flies I could stay legal.

There are some inclines here, and hence quite a few locks but yes it is generally flat but lots of different surface's from gravel like paths, mud and grass, makes it interesting 😊

Yes it was a first time route, well as far as a running route is concerned anyway but it went well and I shall be doing it again in the future I think.
