Good morning runners and a very happy Tuesday to you all!
I just had to rewrite that title and intro as I had thought it was Monday π€£π€¦πΌββοΈ the lack of structure in my weeks has become hilarious, literally have no clue what day it is half the time and had to ask the Mrs what year it was the other day π€£
Well my Tuesday run went absolutely average on all counts lol pretty standard time, pretty standard route, nothing much to see or talk about! 10k in 1hr2mins π€·πΌββοΈ
Really need to run some new routes, these are all getting so dull!
Tried a new podcast today, Russell Kane's evil genius which has a few years of back catalogue for me to get through ππͺπ» very entertaining and I would imagine a decent game I could whip out when drunk at parties π€£ (have to point out, still off the drink at this stage, I think next week is my 90 days which dosnt seem a long time when you say it out loud π€£ but when you've drank regularly from the age of 14 onwards then that's quite a gap!)
I hope everybody is well, I've probably missed a lot of posts as my forum visits have been a bit less regular lately but does seem to be a lot of us still out on the IC, hopefully the summer sees a lot of returning Gazelles πͺπ»π.
Our COGH is going amazingly well, I didn't think we would be so far along our route at this stage, amazing work everybody involved ππ»

I was like that during first lockdown last year, every day felt the same, wasnt till the footy started again, that weekends came back π€·ββοΈSounds like another comfortable 10k, any thoughts on anything a bit longer?
Happy to see my VRB's getting out there and clocking up the 10k's π¦π¦Beaut spring weather for a run! Well done matey. And on the 90 days no drinking too, bet that is giving you a spring in your step πͺ
Wahhh... Still on the IC here, MRI for me tomorrow to see what is really going on with the shins/leg situ as still not much better. Given that my last run was mid-Jan πππprogress is not what I had hoped for to say the least. I walked part of my old C25K training route yesterday and felt sad remembering my hard fought for C25k journey on this particular patch of field, back in Sept/Oct.. Ah the heady days of pushing myself to run 10mins etc.! Will be back there when I can, I hope. I miss running so much and I miss the adventuring that comes with running, the planning and exploring new routes π Go and find yourself some new routes for me please!!
Oh blimey that sound serious! Hopefully they get to the bottom of whatevers causing the problem π€π»π€π» yeah it must be awful for you having done so much hard work to get to where you did and then not being able to run for so long!
I'm gonna have to find some fun new routes and take some nice pics for you to run vicariously through me! π€£
ππ»Well done on keeping up the numbers-a month since I ran my 12 but Iβve just no energy still - even 5k feels tiring at the moment but Iβve kept up with 3-4 runs each week- Iβll keep plodding on!
Bless you RR! Recently Iβm ahead in my thinking with what month it is ?! I have to remind myself itβs still only March! ππ.I really enjoy listening to The Adam Buxton podcast. But not sure I could run and listen to him as I would be laughing too much.
Well done on your run and not drinking for 90 days. Thatβs fantastic.
You should definitely try the barrage π park near the talpore. Go to Newport bridge, over and back to the talpore is 5k. Poor continue to the bridge by Vadah will get you to 6-7 miles depending on which bits you include. Or run from talpore to the dinosaur park and back is also about 6 miles. I like to run to the stadium too. So much choice where we are. Hemlington lake. Eston nab. Flatts lane. When weβre allowed, along the front from Redcar to Marske. Around Roseberry topping and captain cooks. Iβll shut up now π€£
We are spoilt for places but I don't drive so it tends to be places I can run too and from π€£ I havnt ran down by the river and know there's supposed to be a lot of good routes down there, the Mrs works in a cafe not far from Dino Park so could get dropped off down there and have an explore π€ππ»
Definitely! Cut down the side of Dinosaur park and turn left towards the barrage π Follow the path all the way ππ½ From the Newport bridge you can run either side of the river towards Stockton.
