I ❤️ rain running

I love rain running. On my run this morning I passed a guy walking the other way without a coat. It was pouring down. I thought “what an idiot” he obviously thought same about me cos we made eye contact and we both started laughing 😂

I love the rain too! But only for running (or when I’m inside and reading to the sound of it...) I didn’t know I loved it, in fact when I first went out in the rain I almost returned immediately but so glad I didn’t, as I settled into it it was beautiful, I felt I could breathe, actually run without worrying about sudden waves of heat, and I felt super connected to the world around me to the point that I was so at peace at the end of my run and it took me minute for that to turn into elation, that I got overwhelmed and had tears in my eyes and the biggest smile. Must have looked a right mess - but a happy one.

Runs in the boiling weather and sun however simply make my body experience waves of uncomfortable heat and feelings of tightness in my chest.... so enjoy all those rainy runs!

Your post made me chuckle, love those moments where you and a stranger on the road look at each other and connect for a split second to read each other’s minds and it all comes out in laughter

Running is the rain makes more sense ( to me anyway) than walking in the rain with no coat on.
