Running in the rain!

I’m redoing C25k after a lay off and did wk4, run2 today. I’ve run in rain before but today was torrential. Thought I’d hate it but actually I really enjoyed it and it felt an easy run. Very glad of my lightweight Rab jacket and a peaked hat. Found myself almost laughing two or three times the rain got even heavier, bouncing down in my head. Met only one walker on the cycle track and he had a golf umbrella and welly boots. So it was unexpectedly enjoyable 😀

Rainy runs can be fun, unless it's freezing cold too! I think we're all having to get used to running in the rain.

Raindrops are falling on my head.... Wonderful !

Go you! I don't bother about the rain if I am already out in it, but heading out into rain, I am not as keen !

You obviously had a lovely run , well done to you!

You've done me in now. I'll be thinking Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid all day.

I'm the same - don't like going out in the rain - but usually enjoy it when it comes on.

I love a properly rainy run too. When you’re so wet you can’t get any wetter, it becomes utterly ridiculous and somehow hilarious to be out in such weather. It’s a great way to feel like a hero.

My trainers still haven’t forgiven me though!

I keep meaning to invest in some waterproof socks! My friend recommended them ages ago but I haven’t got around to it.

You're brave, if I see rain outside I stay inside (don't mind too much if it starts once I'm actually out!)

Me too usually but if I hadn’t gone out in the rain it might be a few days till I had another chance so just went for it
