Does it matter if my short run route is 25 mins at the moment not 20? Thinking the route should probably only be 20 mins and that I just need to move faster.
I like a circle, not a there and back the temptation to turn round a little early might be too much.

The Magic 10 is a good guide to eventually running a 10K, perhaps not as strict as C25K, so you are OK in starting your short runs at 25 minutes rather than 20.
When I was doing C25K I kept ridgidly with the program, however, with the Magic 10 plan it was quite close to the program but I did vary it a little, more like a 1K run more every week on a Wednesday with a shorter run on a Saturday, usually a 5K.
Thanks, the route is quite comfy for me at 25 mins so I’ll stick with it as I know it for now. Your guideline is similar to the one I’ve planned but I intend to torture myself at the weekend with the long run 😂.
I’m going to give JuJus magic plan a go. It’s pinned at the top of the forum, but read the consolidation posts, as well. There’s loads of things you can do straight after C25k. Its the consolidating that’s made me realise I actually enjoy running. Have fun 😁
Congratulations for making a commitment to start the plan, it really is great. Like you I hate out and back runs, you’ll have fun though searching out longer and longer routes as you work through the plan. I knew all my routes/distances then moved to a new area 6 weeks ago, still trying to work out longer routes without having to finish every run with a loop of the village. It’s funny I’m planning around them being wet in the autumn and not being able to do them. In reality if I stopped planning and started doing it rather than consolidating for the 7th week (with 3 5ks under 40 mins 🤦♀️already, yep I know only 20 more mins) even if I did every week twice, I’d be done by mid September. 🤷♀️🤷♀️
So I ran and I’ve named my run ‘run 1 Ju-Ju’s magic plan.’ It was supposed to be 30 mins but ended at 36 and 4.8km. So I’ve either run my long week on time, or nearly done my mid week on km. I think I should’ve made a decision by now 🤣🤣.
