During lockdown I got my running distance back up to 10k so inspired by Captain Tom and the 2.6 challenge I decided to run twenty-six 10ks to raise money for The Alzheimer's Society. I have now run twenty π. The conditions were so pleasant today (continuous light rain but still warm) that I carried on running to complete 12k (which is the furthest I have run in one go) and only really stopped as I didn't want to over do it and end up with an injury with six more runs to do π π€. Also the first time I wore a baseball cap - needed to keep the rain off the glasses... And it worked!
Longest run: During lockdown I got my running... - Bridge to 10K
Longest run
Wow that's amazing! Good luck with the rest of your runs. I wear a baseball cap in the rain too - I hate getting my glasses wet!
Very impressive, well done.
Wow! Well done x
Fantastic effort, that's a lot of back to back 10ks, well done too on your 12k longest distance. Such a great charity. I did the 2.6 challenge for Alzheimer Scotland covering a marathon on 4 consecutive runs. It's so nice that through the 2.6 challenge these organisations are still raising funds. Happy running π€
A great achievement and for a great cause, well done you πββοΈπ
