Don’t usually do mornings but gave it a go for my 30 min run (wk 3 run 2 of magic plan). Think I’m going to stick to evening runs. Not sure if it was because I tried a different route but I had to stop a couple of times for a few seconds - maybe a mental thing? Anyway, I kept going and pleased I got my best time for 5k at 36.06. Just can’t help it now when I get to 30 mins I just want to get another badge on the Nike app 🤣. Anyone feel like a cheat if you’ve paused a couple of times? I’ve clearly got the running bug as I’m looking at Garmin watches now ☺️

Morning run, pausing and watches
Well done, just do what you find best, this isn't the Olympics, no crowd watching and commenting. Garmin watches are great, I bought one last October on graduating c25k, great for stats. Happy running 🤗
Great run and if you feel the need to stop then do so . But what I find is slowing right down when feeling tired on a run usually helps. 😊
So what Garmin are you buying 🤣
😂 it’s between the vivoactive or the forerunner. Like the vivoactive because it looks smarter for work too. 🤷♀️
I too have completed week 3 run 2 today, and believe or not I too have been looking at Garmin watches today. I am though, much slower than you. 😂
Have you decided which watch you like? It’s great on here to keep each other motivated when you’re at the same point. Have you been doing the distance or the time? I’ve followed the time but today went over 30mins as I did pause earlier and wanted to get to 5k.
Haven’t decided which watch to buy yet. I think it will be a Garmin. I need to persuade my husband I need one 😂. I am been doing time. I can run 5k in 40 mins. I am happy with that as I am 64 and haven’t run since I was at school. My plan is to get to the hour and then start following the plan using distance. I am really enjoying the different length runs. I still can’t believe I can run 5k
You shouldn’t need to pause. Definitely slow down.
I’m not sure if it was more me giving up as it was a different route and I don’t usually do mornings 🤷♀️ downside for me running on my own since lockdown is it feels easier to give up. It’s odd as when I do my usual route on a night I know how far I need to keep going before I turn around and never stop. Evening runs best for me I think! ☺️
