Nice cool morning for a run!

Hello everyone!

Thought I’d post my run this morning! I’m getting used to my new garmin and I love it! Downloaded the No Frills clock face and it’s lovely and colourful and easy to see!!

Anyway I’m on holiday now for 2 whole weeks so I decided to run this morning while it was cooler. Also I definitely find if I run in the evening I just can’t get to sleep for ages!

House quite full at moment! Husband and 2 big sons so it’s nice to escape out!

My run was quite uneventful, I headed out and did a slightly different route. It was very overcast and nicely cool but glad I wore vest top and shorts! ( my elderly neighbour is worried I’ll get a chill!! )

Lots of wood pigeons and magpies today!

We’re off to Greece on Friday for a week and I’m looking forward to having a wee run or two there!!😀🏃‍♀️☀️

Brilliant! I Loved my 6k this morning .First time I've been out at 7am. A new route , a new outlook and new shoes! Only downside was a tech fail so no record but the buzz is enough proof that it was a good run!

I love getting out in the morning! The earlier the better! Really sets me up for day although I’ll be ready for a wee afternoon snooze!! 😀

I'm lucky to often have Monday morning at home so it's a great opportunity to do the longer more tiring runs with a better window afterwards for stretches etc and it also gives me the time to enjoy a Cinnamon Bagel with jam and a vast flagon of milky coffee instead of my demure, "I'm keeping fit" muesli! Happy snoozing .

Oooh running in greece will be different. I can just imagine it now, crystal blue waters, tall cypress trees and the ever present thrum of the cicadas. Do take lots of pics please :)

Reminds me I need to help swmbo set up her new garmin 235, it seems to be quite different in it's default to my fenix 5, she is having trouble getting things like the km interval to pop up and getting other stuff she doesn't want bothering her. Mine is quite simple, I start it, run and then stop it. the 235 always seems to be beeping and moaning about things lol

I really love my new garmin. It took me a while to sort things out but gradually getting to grips with it! I did a bit of random button pressing at first! Especially when I finished a run and different screens were popping up and I wasn’t sure what I was doing! Then realised I just needed to wait a few seconds and then I got the options!! Still discovering new features!!!😀

Oh i'm so jealous now.. I have been to the greek islands sailing a few times, each night a differnt little marina or port and all of them full of lovely goat roads and abandoned places. I was never fit enough to run back then but I would so love too now. Need to dust of my skippers certificate and get a holiday booked I think.

I’ve not been to Greece for 26 years which was honeymoon! Going to Zante. I’ve never run on holiday before so this will be a first! Very early mornings I think! I’m not great at running in heat here! Last time we went was late September and it was very hot then! 😀

Gosh, you are getting very fast! What a lovely run. Ooh, and I love Greece. Are you going to run there. Should be better as the heat is drier than in the UK X

I’m going to try and slow down a bit but I find it difficult!! I did notice my heart rate wasn’t in red zone for so long today which is good! I’ve done a couple to compare now!! I love all the stats!!!

Had to laugh when I got my “well oiled machine badge today!!”

I’ll definitely have a wee run in Greece but not too much exertion!! 😀

Haha, bet you haven’t had the up early and the photogenic badges. Honestly, Garmin, don’t try and compete with Fitbit 😂😂😂
