After a beautiful spring day yesterday and time in the garden, there was more rain overnight which was just stopping when I headed out this morning.π€
Friday had been my day for working on βspeedβ (remember, everything is relative,ππ€£) with diagonals on a local football pitch. Today was a steady 10k on the trails. I say βsteadyβ, but as seems to be the way at the moment, there was a fair amount of slipping and sliding in the mud and splashing though puddles plus a really soggy hill that I struggled up too! (Took a short walk break about half way up!π). Still, I really enjoyed being out in such beautiful surroundings and returned feeling that sense of achievement you get after a good run!
Looking forward to a couple of rest days now and a local run event next weekend!
Have a good week all!πββοΈππΎββοΈ

ππSo, so good to get in these lovely runs Sandra. You have deserved that well earned rest! Thanks for including the pic which explains a lot!! The feel good factor is the magic ingredient that keep us going back for more even if itβs muddy & hilly!! π
Glad to see you enjoy those muddy trails Sandraj39 , youβve really had no choice this year! If ever you fancy a parkrun like that, Queen Elizabeth Country Park is just the one for you!
Well done!! Iβm sticking to fairly clean runs at the moment. Although Iβd really like to give trail running a go! Once Iβve finished this programme Iβll organise a trail run with a running buddy from the club. So many trails round here to get lost on π if I disappeared no-one would even know for a few days!
I love to run on the fields, footpaths and bridleways. Obviously runs are slower when itβs wet and muddy but I do feel the benefits when Iβm back on the roads! I only saw one other runner today (I usually see more) and a few dog walkers.π
You love the mud and the trails...It looks fabulous!!! They are so good aren't they? I have avoided the field run for a few days as my daughter tells ne, they are almost unwalkable.
But if the dry weather comes this week... as forecast, I will get there.
Huge well done you.. all that lifting and steadying and run walking, is surely strengthening the legs... never mind the resolve to get there!x
You are a trouper! We went for a walk and I agree with Old flossβ daughter the fields and woods were totally unwalkable , nearly went over a few times!
