My Lockdown running had been going really well initially. I had also started doing yoga again for the first time in many years, as well as using a great work out app to build up strength. Sadly, four weeks ago, having just finished a fairly enthusiastic workout, I got up from the floor - only to have to drop back down again as the room starting swirling! I knew immediately what it was (BPV - Benign Positional Vertigo), as I have had it a couple of times in the past. Not nice. Another similar episode occurred the following day, after which I was left with short bouts of slight swimminess from time to time. So no upside down yoga, no workouts and saddest of all, no running!!😢
The last few weeks things have very slowly improved - some days better than others. I have managed work (in a school) and was able to use the exercise bike when I felt better.
Saturday was my first run in four weeks 😱 - went with OH and we ran our local Parkrun course together ( the hill still hurts!😂) I took it slowly, but felt good - getting out for a run again was soooooo nice! 😀🏃🏽♀️
Not running, was horrible, as it always is - so thoughts as always to anyone stuck on the injury Couch for whatever reason. Stay strong and here's hoping you are soon back out there too! 🙂🌈x
