So I’m having some days off from running.ive had rather a stressful week at work.
I don’t wish to go into too much detail but needless to say upsetting and tragic news greeted me aswell as other colleagues at work, concerning two staff members .
So after finishing work on Thursday and arriving home I was glad to be in the close confines of my home and family. And yes I probably should have gone out for a run to de stress, but honestly? I didn’t have it in me.
However I have four days off next week after Monday as I’ll be working the following weekend,so I will be getting back out there then.
Anyway hope are all ok and have been running 🏃♀️🏃♂️X
Hi Peggy, sorry to hear that things have stressful for you at work . Look forward to those days off and spoil yourself. I hope things improve for you soon , and just get out running when you want to, no pressure . Big hugs. ❤️
Hi Peggy, sorry to hear this. I had quite a stressful week at work too. I did a hilly Parkrun last week and didn't run again till today, but lifted my spirits with a lovely 5k over quiet fields and lanes this morning. Got my perspective back. Hope you can do the same after Monday. And thank heaven for home and family x
Oh Peggy, sorry to hear this. Sometimes life can stop us in our tracks, and we need to take time to rest and regroup. Take care good of yourself in whatever way feels right, knowing the running will wait for you. It can be good for all the joints and ligaments to have a break, and when you next feel ready to run, you will come back stronger and it will be just the therapy you need. xxx
Oh thank you so much Sadie. This forum is just the right place to start to make you feel better. People are so kind and yes your quite right running will be still be there when I’m ready. Thanks 🙂
Sounds like you had enough to deal with, sorry it’s been such a tough week. Huge hugs, and I hope running speeds your own recovery from such a difficult time ❤️
Joining the chorus of good wishes to you. Sometimes it's so hard to find that balance, knowing running might help, but knowing it's been tough and you just need a break and that thankfully you have home to comfort you. I'm so sorry you've had tragic news to deal with and hope you are feeling better soon.
So sorry Maggie. Look after yourself and nurture yourself. Shock can rob you of energy, so you are right to rest. I'm going to take a few days off too when I've finished my virtual challenge as I'm drained too, so we can run together again when we've both recovered. Lots of love and hugs xxx

Sorry that things have been hard for you - I think you have made the right decision. You will run when you are ready and feel all the better for it I hope. Take care.🙂
