Thanks to everyone who said to keep doing consolidation runs until they’re comfortable. It took me ~ 20 🥵 to get the courage to move up and bed in the progress of c25k. While 6k isn’t a breeze, it was doable. The only whine in this tale is having to get up earlier and earlier to find cool temps to run.
W2 done and dusted: Thanks to everyone who... - Bridge to 10K

Congratulations on moving on up. It’s not a race, take your time progressing to longer runs particularly in this warmer weather. Happy running 🤗
Great for getting to 6k , like you say it wasn't easy but you did it. Might I add you decided to move on after 20 consolidation runs I did 8 months of them before moving on to getting to 10k. 🤣 . Enjoy the rest of your weekend 😊👍
Thanks Buddy34 for the perspective. As much as I do not want to compare against more fit brethren, it’s hard to relax and ease into progress. I’ve noticed that running is teaching me fitness, perspective, and patience ☺️.
Congratulations on your 6k, spending time on the consolidation runs will ensure you reap your rewards going forward- yes I know what you mean about getting up earlier still it’s for the best, great running 👏👍🌞
Not really an early morning gal since the kids were little. But you just can’t lay in bed watching it get hot. My husband told me rolling out of bed early is killing his Saturday sleep-in. It appears I come back all energized and looking for playmates b4 he’s alive 😳🤭☺️. My bad.
Hi doordie. Well done. I graduated last week and have consolidated too. I have done 2 x 30 mins run and then tonight i put a target of 5km in the Nike app and did 5.69km in 55 mins so like you im realising that 6k is do able 😊 my bf has set me a challenge 6k on Monday. Will see 🤔.
It is very warm but ive found a late owl rather than an early bird so run about 8.30 or 9pm which i find suits me
