I did my warm up walk and felt like I had heavy legs and though oh well, tbey'll warm up. Started to run and my legs were shouting abort abort abort ! I couldn't work out what was wrong. I ran three minutes and stopped.
I just knew something was different.
Turns out my son had put the elevation on the treadmill at 4...π
I know I should have worked it out sooner, but it was hot, my mind was on a work problem. Imagine someone raised your street up without you knowing...no one uses the treadmill except me lol...
Anyway, dropped it back down to 1.5 and got on with my run. βΊ
I feel really thick for not noticing it but it was weird and I was not expecting anything to have changed from before.
I threw in my own version of treadmill intervals over the last 1k. Not a flat out run but up a bit then up a bit more over the 30 20 10.
Anyway...t'is done !

Well done, you did well to realise what the problem was! I did my 6km this morning, wasn't totally sure when I set off if I would be doing 6km or 5km but really pleased that the longest one is done and dusted. "Only" a mere 5k to go...
Yay well done! My colleagues were laughing at me earlier when they asked what run I had next and I said "just 3k" who'd have thought I'd saying it's just 3k!
I know right, I was so worried about week 1, then week 5, then week 9 loomed from afar
finally I stopped looking at the time on the treadmill and I look at the distance, this plan has been great for worrying about how long I have left, 30 mins goes by with nary a glance
6k done and you wonβt forget that one!!! Made me smile as I once didnβt check the speed and someone before me had put it on miles per hour. Should have seen my legs go... I was a blur till I realised.
