After checking the weather forecast for over the festive season I realised that today could be my only chance at getting a 10k in before the end of the year so out I went.
It felt like a LONG way and I had to carry my legs for the last 2km as they didn't want to bring me home but I made it and I feel amazing. To think I have gone from running nowhere to running 10km since the 12th August still amazes me.
Merry Christmas fellow runners

Thanks Debs, I am sick of running in the rain so wanted to make the most of the break in weather. All going well I will get a short run in some time before 2020 but only if the weather is right
Congratulations on completing your first 10K, well done.

Well done on your 10K, it's a great acheivement. Maybe you will look into 10K races for the new year 2020... not intending to plant a seed in your mind in any way, but you know... just saying hehehe!
Thank you :). I have booked for a 10k night trail race on the 18th January and then another one in Feb so that should keep me focussed for a few months.
I then want to do the local half marathon next Sept as I walked/ran the 5km event that is on the same day this year so figure that is a good way to show my improvement
