10k done and dusted

After checking the weather forecast for over the festive season I realised that today could be my only chance at getting a 10k in before the end of the year so out I went.

It felt like a LONG way and I had to carry my legs for the last 2km as they didn't want to bring me home but I made it and I feel amazing. To think I have gone from running nowhere to running 10km since the 12th August still amazes me.

Merry Christmas fellow runners :)

Thanks Debs, I am sick of running in the rain so wanted to make the most of the break in weather. All going well I will get a short run in some time before 2020 but only if the weather is right :)

Well done on your 10K, it's a great acheivement. Maybe you will look into 10K races for the new year 2020... not intending to plant a seed in your mind in any way, but you know... just saying hehehe!

All the best and keep going.

Well done you. Been great following your progress and to see you cross that 10k finish line is awesome.

So where does the running take you next? Further, faster, consistent, or something entirely new and different?

Thank you :). I have booked for a 10k night trail race on the 18th January and then another one in Feb so that should keep me focussed for a few months.

I then want to do the local half marathon next Sept as I walked/ran the 5km event that is on the same day this year so figure that is a good way to show my improvement :)

Have a great Xmas and New Year x
