Ran for an hour!

I did it! I ran for a total of 1 hour and 3 minutes. Tried really hard to keep my breathing under control and to feel comfortable throughout. I have to work so hard not to feel negative about myself and haven't looked at distance as I often feel let down after a run thinking I've not done well enough. I am beating these demons slowly but surely.

Congratulations on running for over a hour LUHAN. Try not to be so hard on yourself as running for that length of time is fantastic regardless of distance. Slow and steady wins the race.

You keep battling those demons, you are doing brilliantly. Running an hour is something to be very proud of, and you can even apply for a 60 minute shiny badge.

Well done you, distance doesn’t matter, speed doesn’t matter, that you run makes you a winner and a whole hour is fantastic

An hour - fantastic, that's a win. 🙆‍♀️🎉 Don't beat yourself up- life is hard enough, especially just now, without you adding arbitrary parameters you "think" you should meet. I used to teach a lesson about the difference between Need and Want - just a thought 🤣 happy running 🤗

Fantastic LUHAN 🎉

Not just 1 HOUR but 1 HOUR AND 3 MINUTES! 👏 I always think back to Week 1 Run 1 when running for 1 minute seemed impossible to me! 😂 Have a lovely weekend and be proud of this moment xxx

Brilliant!!! I popped into my local Coop once and the girl in the till said “ you look a bit red. What have you been up to?” And when I said “ I’ve just run for an hour” . She was very taken aback.

Well done you!!! And yes when you think back to gasping through those first 60 second runs .... amazing now!!!

Amazing! Well done on running for an hour! I’ve done it five times now and I still can’t believe it. I totally get what your saying - I try and just over-ride such thoughts by saying to myself: you’re out, you’re doing it, you’re ok, you’re exercising, you’re helping yourself, you’ll feel fab after this, etc etc. Amazing progress.

Thankyou...that is exactly what I did yesterday! For the first time in a long long time I was able to say 'I don't mind what others think.' I am doing this. I still wanted to beat myself and my times but kept pushing that aside. I am slowly getting better.

Again, totally get you here. I find myself thinking I need to be faster and I need to be longer but that is what made me fail at C25K when I did it a few years ago. I make myself ‘keep it slow’ all the time and aim is to increase time. Hence the fact I can now do 60 minutes!

Brilliant run Luhan. We all have our own pace. There are things we can do to add pace over time, but it isn’t compulsory! Extending the period of time for which you can run is a great way to measure your progress, so enjoy your runs and celebrate this success. 🥂
