Wow, just WOW!!

CONGRATULATIONS...now please form an orderly queue and don't stand too close...I know, I know, you don't need telling that at the moment!!

I have to take my hat off to you all for keeping on going through these weird but also wonderful (I'm hoping something wonderful comes out of this!) times...it's wonderful for loads of different reasons and one of the reasons is because we can still run and we're, hopefully, enjoying a different pace of life and I don't really need to say why it's weird do I?!

One thing that is definitely wonderful is that through all this you have managed to reach your 10k goal...or you have run for a whole 60 MINUTES!!!! Whew, that is a long way and a long time to be running, but I bet you feel better for it don't you??

So, it is my pleasure to award you your extra well deserved badge this month...just leave a comment, telling me how it went and I'll get your badge to you as soon as I can...I promise to try not to leave it too long, I know how important these badges are!!

So once again a MASSIVE well done to you all....stay safe and happy running

Hello! I ran a 10k yesterday! Took me 1h17. I was inspried by my friend who jumped from 5k to 10k. There was a lot of rain and hailstones, but I got through that worst part and had a really great run! I can't believe how far i've come since August 2018 when I couldn't run at all.

Yay!! Well done Zee221b ...it’s always good when you’re inspired by friends...and you made it through the rain and hail in style! Enjoy your rest day today

I managed to run 10k for the first time today, I still can't quite believe it but I'm dead chuffed!! 😄😄 It was very slow (took me an hour and a half) but that was my intention so I don't mind.

Thank you so much for the C25K program, Ju-Ju's Magic Plan and of course, all you amazing people on this site. You have inspired me so much and I am so grateful. I never thought I would ever be runner but perhaps now I am?!

Thank you ❤️🏃‍♀️🥳🥇🎉🎊

You are definitely a runner Forest_Run_Beginner dont you ever doubt it...and now you can run 10k. The time it takes does not matter at all, it’s how you feel while your doing it, slow is best because it means you can run for longer 😉 Congratulations, super work!

10k completed today. Beautiful run along the canal. I just kept going, so good to be out!

Mummycav profile image
MummycavAdministratorGraduate10 in reply to Evol

Wow, well done Evol ...my most favourite place to run is down by the canal, I love it...it's been a bit busier than normal as everyone must do their daily exercise down there too so I find myself stopping now and again to allow for social distancing, maybe this evening, if I go down there, it might be a bit quieter as its not blazing sunshine at the moment. Enjoy your new distance...and your badge suits you!!

Evol profile image
EvolGraduate10 in reply to Mummycav

Thank you. I really think I stick with the canal because it's flat. I might be cheating with this!

Thank you. One thing I do find is the further from town I get the less people I see! I am also discovering new scenery.

Hello! I also ran my first 10k today. Hadn’t intended to do it at all but felt good so just kept going. It was a bit slower than normal with the need to keep 2m apart from everyone, so it took 67 minutes. My 10 year old daughter was with me on her bike so that may have given me extra energy! Thanks so much in advance for the badge.

I did my first 10k today, in 1h 13 min. I had been doing JuJu's plan, but stuck at 8k for a few weeks, as I could do that in an hour and felt that was a reasonable time to be out. But I should have been doing an organised 10 last weekend, so last week I decided to push for it. I did 9k last week and then 10k today! I customised one of my husband's 10k medals to award myself. Thank you to Juju and everyone here for their support. My next target is to improve my 5k time so that I can get a parkrun pb when we return.

Well done Ambr456 , this is excellent and brilliant that you’ve made yourself some bling too!!! Can’t beat a bit of bling!! I got to 10k doing ju-ju- ’s plan, it’s excellent isn’t it? I’ve just completed a Garmin 10k plan and it wasn’t as enjoyable as Ju-ju’s...well done for sticking with it, you deserve your shiny new badge

Hi,

Did my 10k on Wednesday. Followed juju’s plan and did just over 10k in 60mins. Think I could have kept going but I like to stick to the plan and build gradually.

Hoping to make it to a half marathon later in the year 🤞

Mummycav profile image
MummycavAdministratorGraduate10 in reply to

Woo hoo Hidden thats fantastic!! ju-ju- ’s plan is the perfect way to reach 10k, it’s perfect..and how fantastic when you reach your distance and then feel good enough to keep going?!! But, wisely, you stopped and yes, building your distance gradually is the best thing to do, I am absolutely sure you will reach your marathon distance...well done ✅

I completed Juju's Magic 10 yesterday with a 10K run! I was really nervous even though I was doing it on my own but I was scared of not making it. I had entered Bath Two Tunnels 10K race which should have taken place today. I was able to do it virtually and I'll still get my medal which I'm really pleased about. I did it in 70 mins which is the time I was hoping for as my best 5K time is 34 mins. I still can't believe I can actually run sometimes! I am really enjoying the journey. Thanks everyone on here for an inspiring and encouraging environment 😊👍

Woo hoo, brilliant achievement and you’ll have some bling to remember it by! I think we all go through a phase where we have to pinch ourselves and actually believe we are runners...and what we do is amazing 😉 That’s a good time you’ve made it in too, it’s natural to be a bit apprehensive but ju-ju- ‘s plan is brilliant...and that coupled with the lovely folk on here is just the ticket! Hello, I ran my first 10k yesterday on what should have been our local 10k/2k race day. I started C25K in January and signed up for the race in February, expecting to walk a fair bit of it. Anyway, yesterday I ran an alternative route and my husband and children joined me to run the last 2k which was just what I needed to keep going, eventually finishing in 68 minutes. At the start of the run I ran past the football pitch where I first panted around in the freezing rain in my first few weeks of C25K - a good reminder of how my running has progressed. My running club is making bling for the virtual race so I am looking forward to receiving my first medal as a runner. They also made me Runner of the Month for ploughing on and chasing my goals during these crazy times! I am so pleased I finally started to run (I had the app on my phone for a year and never once looked at it!) but joining a club and following everyone's highs and lows here made me realise that I could do it if I just tried!

Mummycav profile image
MummycavAdministratorGraduate10 in reply to RunUsagi

Aww, I love this...the thought of your family running alongside you warms my cockles..how lovely?! That’s something you’ll remember too, I remember my first park run and my hubby was standing at the finish line, I thought he was still in bed, it was so emotional! The reminder of you panting around the football pitch in the freezing cold is definitely something you won’t stop feeling I’m sure, I often go across to the park where I graduated C25k to remind myself how far I’ve come..& also when I’m having self doubts and a bit of a wobble I know I can always come on here and my friends will pick me up...& that’s what we’re all here for...I had the app for a while before I dared to have a go, not quite a year though! I bet you’re so glad you clicked on the ‘ Run now’ button now aren’t you?!!

Enjoy the bling you’ve earned from you running club and also your badge on here.. you definitely deserve them both, well done and congratulations 🥳

Hello Mummycav, I've just finished ju-ju's magic 10K plan and ran my final 10K this morning. Please could I get my graduate10 badge? I started the 10K plan mid April and have run every other day. I have discovered a lot - things like the toxic 10 is more toxic 3k but have found some lovely new routes to take in. And of course I couldn't have done it without the help of this wonderful forum. Not sure what my aim is now, I like the structure of the plan but don't have any desire to run a half marathon, I guess it would be good to consolidate for a few weeks? Hope you are all well xx

Mummycav profile image
MummycavAdministratorGraduate10 in reply to beth_f

Yay...well done beth_f , that’s an excellent achievement...and a gorgeous sunny day to do it!! I know what you mean about the toxic 3k, sometimes it takes me at least 3k to get comfortable in my run too!!

Yes, if I were you I’d do some consolidation runs and just enjoy your new found distance throwing a couple of shorter runs in and maybe a bit of interval work to get that heart pumping?! Keep in touch to let us know how you’re doing...all’s well here thank you...stay safe xx
