1st 10km in a year.

Having established my new 'only in a drought' bog and wet field 7km route as my firm favourite, today I added a few extra bits to make it up to 10km.

Met bullocks in the bog, who followed me, rather too close. And my neighbour who is doing C25K, who kept 3m distance as we shouted encouragement at one another.

I beat the rain, which I don't think is enough to turn the bog back boggy. So it is still there for next time.

Hope you are all well and safe, and running.

Well done, although sounds a bit of a scary adventure. Possibly karma for living in too beautiful a part of the world! 😀

Great to hear from you TOF. Bullocks need watching! I am sure it is just curiosity that makes them crowd in in you, but it can be scary....young hooligans who don't know their own strength. Well done on the 10k 👏👏👏

Well done TOF 👊 Running with bullocks makes my running with bouncing dogs seem very tame. 🐄

Fantastic that you got a 10k in though. 👍👏💪🏃‍♂️ I’m with you on being thankful for dry ground, as the common where I’m doing all my lockdown runs is severely limited in the winter. At the moment it’s rock hard. 👍

Stay well and safe, and happy running to you! 😀

We are truly blessed living here, with so many great walking and running routes just outside the door.

Running with bullocks is okay if they are very young, as these were, but I have had encounters with older ones, and that is more challenging, and can be dangerous especially if you have a dog with you. I just add this here as a warning to others at this time of year. They are not aggressive, but very curious, and incredibly clumsy at times.
