Went out to do 9 slow kms after a couple of weeks of hard runs. I did 10km. Despite being a slower run I seem to have speeded up in general so average pace was around 7mins per km, which is great for me. It felt easier than the previous couple of weeks which have seemed hard. Iβve taken more rest days because of the weather and eaten some carbs because I felt starving. Rest days obviously suit me π
I ran up the steps between 8-9km and it was fine! Just 38 of them, but still!

Good job Baddie. It's amazing how we feel so good just after a couple of extra rest days. I planning to do Parkrun tomorrow then my first 10k run on Tues
Nobody mentioned that Chocolate was allowed? When did this happen? I must make up for lost time. Point me towards Cadburyworld immediately. Next someone will be saying you can have your cake and run with it.
Ah...you noticed my confession. In fairness I got down to my desired weight and then did a careful calculation as to calories in and out on each run so I knew exactly how much chocolate I could eat without reversing the process. Or .... I just eat chocolate...take your pick ππ«π«π«
And, ever since I've been 'the grown up' I've been allowed to eat my pudding first (i.e. before my mains). See, there is something good about having to be grown up π
Wow you run up those steps, impressive! Am pleased you had a good run today. Itβs funny how the less one tries the more one manages with less effort. There might be something in a relaxed but controlled run...
Just wondered. Itβs a theory that if you walk a little between runs, your muscles relax and recuperate and so in the end especially on long distances you can make better times that if you run the whole way.
Isn't great when you head off for a leisurely run just for the pleasure of it without any pace intended only to return & find your average pace has just naturally improved over the course of time... Best feeling πͺ.... Go pirates!!!
Well done Baddie, awesome run indeed - but βjustβ 38 steps? Crikey, how many steps do you usually do? π³π¨π³ That is a seriously impressive number in my book! πππͺπββοΈ
One step short of a bad film?! π And you had already run for 8k, well goodness gracious you must have calves of steel after all your hill work! That's brilliant, you must be pretty chuffed with that.
No such thing as "just" we all started just running for a minute or just running for 1 Km. Just running up 38 steps is a fine achievement in my mind. Well done.
