Walking the Yorkshire Wolds for COGH

Myself and Mr AG have been walking the Wolds Way in short sections, as we have to do an out and back walk or try and work out a circular route so that we come back to the car. Today we decided to go a little further and I thought it would add some kilometres to the COGH total, too. We arrived at the start point in a snowstorm and nearly abandoned the idea, but we put all our gear on and set off anyway. Within half an hour the snow had stopped and we were treated to this beautiful weather. The dry valleys of the wolds are absolutely lovely and so peaceful. In four hours of walking we only met two sets of people. One was two women who were RUNNING the whole way (not all in one day as it's 79 miles, but I thought the said two days!). I admire their commitment but I think I might stick to walking it, personally😊

It certainly is. It's certainly not one of the more popular long distance footpaths, but that's a large part of its charm

I live by another that is also pretty quiet, well it is by here anyway! Its Offas Dyke along the Welsh border!

I'll definitely add that one to the post-covid list. Thanks
