I had a restless night, couldn't get off to sleep and then woke in the night so at 6am I really didn't feel like getting out of bed! But I had planned an early run to avoid folk and the warm sun, so gear on, dog ready and away we went. Perhaps just a shortish one I said to myself Well I seemed to get into my stride quite quickly, beautiful morning - sun out but still cool enough to feel comfortable, birds singing and the wonderful colours and scents of spring blossom. I jogged on, seeing no-one on our usual route down the old railway line. Hubby caught up with me at the end of the walking/cycling track. I felt good so after a short drink stop we continued on together up/down lanes to the next village. It was nice being out together - since the restrictions we had mostly been walking/running separately so the dog gets two lots of exercise in a day. I found running with the bike good for keeping up my pace. After a long, steep hill we stopped briefly to admire the view and take a photo. Then onward along narrow lanes until we return to the railway line taking us back to the town. Continued on through the town, down to the harbour, through the park and back home. 12k - VERY pleased with that!

Fantastic run, great photo. That just sounds lovely. Great work. Happy running π€
Fantastic! Sounds like the perfect start to the day π
Superb sounding. Made me jealous - well, not so much that I begrudged it to you! Just wish Iβd been following along. ππππΌπ
Lovely run Sue, great view too. You do well to get out early; it was really warm this morning (I thought I was promised overcast and showers) and so busy with walkers, runners and cyclists. I have never seen so many out in my usually deserted trails!
Well, I will definitely get wet tomorrow unless I go in the afternoon when the weather is supposed to improve (but then everyone else will be out then!)
I like running in the rain, I'm finding it too warm at the moment and irritated by all the people! (I need to breathe...)
