This week has made me wobble a bit. I work as an Administrator in a GP surgery so am still at work, it’s been quite pressured and I’ve been more stressed than usual. I’ve just not been motivated to run because I’ve been using my exercise time to walk or cycle in the evenings with my husband instead. I’ve decided to try to get my routine back a bit today and head out for a run straight after work today - it’ll probably be slow and hard after a week off but I’ll give it my best shot. Keep safe & well all x
Post update: Did run a bit today but it was mostly a fail - legs and mind wouldn’t co-ordinate so only ran for 1.5km and walked for a further 2km. Try again on Sunday. Keep on keeping on and stay safe everyone x

🍏Well done Mands50 for being part of the special people keeping us all going! 👏 👏 We went out & clapped for people like you last night!! I hope you are able to have a gentle run tonight. Take it slowly. Enjoy it & know you are appreciated 🌹
⭐️ You are a star Mands50. You are one of the many special people working so hard for us all and we will all be cheering you on your way this evening. Xx
These are strange times, so run when you can and take it slow and steady, i saw a post by UnFitNoMore the other day telling us all our runs should be easy, at this time we aren’t pushing ourselves we are just running to let our minds settle and our bodies move
Sorry to hear you’re having a stressful time. But hats off to you for doing your job. Sometimes it is just too hard to run but at least you got out there. 👍🏼
You still went out, and a run is still a run, no matter how long or short. It’s hard to get out when you have a lot going on, so well done for pushing yourself.
Thank you for all you are doing. Your run wasn't a fail - it was a triumph. And I know what you mean about the run/walk dilemma - I haven't run this week because I want to walk with my husband and the dog. Stay safe and take care of yourself.
Running is a mental game! Thank you for all you are doing at this difficult time. I hope you are able to find the headspace and pressure release that running can provide again.
Thanks so much, I was going to go out this morning but my dodgy hip is playing up. I might do a stretch online class this morning and see if it’s loosened up so I can run this afternoon instead. Thanks for your support x
You're doing brilliantly already Mands50. Thank you. I'm no running expert, but at this time more than any other, it seems good advice to just do what you can do and feels right on the day - that's good enough for now. When things get back to normal in the future - and they will one day - you can get back to your old routine and enjoy it all the more.
Take care of yourself and please remember to show yourself the same compassion and understanding that you're no doubt showing others through your job all week long. xx
