Achy legs but getting faster

So ran another 5k this morning. First 5-7 mins felt awful but made myself keep moving. I have a bit of an achy top right thigh since my muddy parkrun but it gets better the further I run. Checked my finish time and had a PB of 33:46 😊. Also another run to add to the Vitality World Cup Running UK team. Never thought this running malarkey would be for me but I think I’m starting to enjoy it - how strange πŸ€”

Thanks Ju-ju - any tips on stretching out my upper thigh?

I do yoga which has helped. Really difficult to say as I am not a physio etc. But if my IT band is tight I often foam roll which is fabulous. Have you got some stretching exercises? Or looked at the strength and flex podcasts?

Swimming! Swimming is great for loosening everything up!

I do like to swim but struggle to get the time to go, but might see if I can fit it in somewhere at the weekend x

Yeah, it's not as user friendly as opening your front door and just running, but I love it.
