How do you turf a jet lagged body out of bed into running gear? It’s Friday...it’s run day! A beautiful day for running here in the NE. Cloudy with a breeze from the South making it feel like-1 Stronger winds forecast so it’s now or never!

The first 10 min are pure hell as I slowly get going after warm up...heavy legs, heavy heart & negative thoughts...why am I doing this! I look around...the tide is going out..a fishing boat is returning with a wake of birds 🦅 🦅 🦅 my heart starts to thaw...it’s so beautiful. I head out onto the dune path & realise my legs have found their rhythm. Once again the discipline of just getting out there on run days has worked it’s magic & I am now enjoying the post run glow!

Happy weekend everyone & for all those running a leap year Saturday don’t forget to propose 🤣

It’s good to know you are home safe and have had a run although how you did that with jet lag i don’t know,

It’s wet and windy here so it’s nice to know you got a dry run

It’s raining now ☔️ & the wind is picking up speed so timed it right! Enjoy your celebrations 🎊 today! 🎈

Shame your family are so far away but nice you can go visit. My husband and I used to live in Cramlington near Newcastle and play a 3 day golf event in Northumberland in July! It really is a small world.

Excellent- another of us in the NE!😄

My childhood was in Whitley Bay, but I’m a bit further south in Teesside now. We still head for Northumberland armed with bikes or boots frequently - such a beautiful part of the country. 😄
