Had planned to run yesterday morning..but I'm ashamed to admit the heavy rain put me off... so I ended up having quite a lazy day..

That was untill my mob of boys at home descended from their bedrooms torn away from their computers with the lure of football at 8 last night..

Now I'm a Glasgow born lass living in wigan now..so you can probably tell where this is going....

Weather was now beautiful and so now was the thought of getting out to tackle that run.. :)

So on went the shoes..and with a cheerie byeee.. off I set to FREEDOM.

Two weeks now till RFL..so again started out just hoping to either speed up a little or aim for another 5k... still very tough first 3k but map my run had informed me at every k I was running nearly a min faster than my previous run on Saturday. :)

So this spurred me on (also football was the return home option) I crossed to next path which carries on for the further 2k...

Happy to say I made the 5k and managed to run it taking 5 minutes faster than Saturday.. so thanks footy.. but running or footy... No Contest!!!

Nice one! I feel your pain sparky. I hate football as much as others adore it so I escape to another room with music and exercises!

Well done Sparky , Great stuff !

Sounds like you had a really good run there, isn't it fantastic when it all comes together like that ?

I am a massive football fan , have been since I was a little girl . I am going to be glued to the telly for the next round of the Euros ! :-) xxx

Now I feel really bad, my response to the football was to find a RomCom and a bottle of Gin

I love football, but I wish I'd gone out running last night instead of watching that awful England game. <eternal optimist>.

Well done on the speedy 5k :)

That's a heck of a pb, well done :)

Imagine how many minutes you could knock off if you imagined you were being chased by the houseboys kicking footballs ;)

You're doing really well :)
