Thought I could try a completely new route today . Started the garmin got a gps signal pressed start . Watch buzzed that I'd completed 10k I saved it .
Came home and opened the garmin connect app it loaded steps but no run. This is only the second time this has happened. Not sure why but that's tech for you.
On a brighter note it was my fastest 10k๐

And just look at that ... nearly 800 calories, that's an extra feast you've earned today wow. I'm using Garmin Connect / MyFitnessPal to lose half a stone of Christmas excess and I really look forward to run days where I don't have to feel like I'm starving quite so much!
One thing I've noticed once in a while with my Garmin is a problem sync'ing, almost like something has got stuck. It happened to me when one morning my sleep info didn't come through. To fix it (after Googling) I connected my Garmin to my PC via the USB cable and opened Garmin Express and sync'd from there. That seemed to clear out the blockage and normal service resumed.
Thanks . It's strange don't know why it happens . The run is on the watch so I know I had gps signal and pressed start and stop and save. Just one of those things. Just a nuisance when we are so used to that map and things.
Will go out on Wednesday again it should be ok๐
1.03.35 is a very good time, a PB as well, congratulations, you feel much better now than you did last Monday, a new route too, it won't be long before you can get a sub 60 minute 10K.
It will be saved on the watch. I find sometimes switching off and on works. Both watch and phone. I think the cache gets too full if you don't restart them now and again.
yes i ent round the block after you told me which button to press just over 1k and itโs nice to know i can get a map, cover that in under 10 minutes and see the map, sadly i felt really tired yesterday and today am full of cold, but soon as my energy levels are back i shal be mapping our runs
Good run Buddy34! Maybe your increase in speed over the past few weeks has taken Garmin beyond its design parameters!! Great stuff ๐๐๐๐๐
Have you got Connect loaded on a computer as well as on a phone? If so, worth trying hard-wiring watch and computer together (just plug the charging cable into a spare USB port) and opening Connect on the computer. If not, well worth loading it now - much more post-run fun available on a decent sized screen โฆโฆ.
Great time, well done! Tech hiccups are so frustrating. Have you tried connecting your watch via your PC? There are settings there where you can retrieve runs... I had to fiddle with that a while back and then it showed on the App.
