Well my lovely (V)RBs, we may be gaining a convert. My bestie Shake-and-run and I are on a girlie weekend with our Norwegian friends in Zurich and, at her suggestion, we brought our running kit. No parkrun here so we decided to do our own thing. At 7.00, I woke up needing the loo and then came a sleepy voice saying “I thought you’d gone without me!” Anyway, a chilly but not too cold morning, we warmed up by walking past the Uni, then set off to run through the Market place, over the river, through the arboretum and along the shore of Lake Zurich. Lots of other runners out, including what sounded like a group of English ladies. Turned round after 2.5k and nearly retraced our steps. Not my fastest but a PB for Shake-and-run 👏👏👏 Now Bucks Fizz, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs at the hotel before we head out to meet up with our Norwegian friends for a slightly more leisurely wander around the old town. Planning for fondue for dinner - well, when in Switzerland 🇨🇭 Happy running peeps!

Not only has Shake-and-run been converted to running, you have been converted to cycling. What a fit pair you are. And just think about all the extra kit you can buy. The great thing about running is that you can fit shoes and gear in your suitcase and take it anywhere.

How lovely for you to run around Zürich , and fondue just has to be done! You’ll have used up a few calories to accommodate it, and the tip top breakfast.

That’s just what my lovely cycling friend said - bit difficult to bring a bike but running shoes no problem! Now on chocolate cake 😋

Oh wow, what a lovely time you’re both having, and a perfect start to your day. Great stuff running 5k (and well done on your PB Shake-and-run 🏃‍♀️👍👏).

Enjoy the rest of your time in Zurich and also that fondue - you’re right, it would be rude not to! 😅

I love Switzerland, but never been to that side. I’ve only been in Geneva and Lausanne. It’s lovely to run in a new place. Enjoy the rest of your time there.
