Nearly .... 44 mins needed 42.28 done should have done this run Sunday but I got another cold or the one I just got better from came back !!! Either way running since Thursday was not on the cards. But felt better today and popped out to see. I randomly ran a 5 ish k route and when it was 5k at 40 mins which is a PB and I could short cut home I did. Nice to get out but bit disappointed I gave up. Today all I can claim is nearly. 😂 but now the two shorter runs and I will aim for the 50 mins next Sunday. I will try to slow down a bit and make sure it’s 50 mins of fun x

That looks achievable. I went out in the wet last night and came back with a slow and soggy 7KM. I think I managed to splash in every puddle and my feet were soaking by the time I got home. Good luck on the two shorter runs.
Glad you're feeling better Brooko, so you ran 42.28 and that's nothing to be disappointed about . Great running and good luck with your 50 minute run next week 🤗🤗
Feeling confident. Ps Every run lately at 3k I get a little cramp in left calf. I just ignore it and it stays the same just a niggle. You have dealt with pain is there anything you recommend? I think it’s sciatica nerve pain.
No more like 2to3 l of coffee. I will give the water a bash and report back. Sorry I thought you had a back pain??? Obviously mixed up VRB’s how embarrassing...
Oh yes I have nocturnal back pain but it doesn't affect me during the day or my running. No tablets have helped the consultant is sending me for a MRI scan .
If you really try and up your water intake I'm sure you will notice a big difference.
I am coping with the distance but realise that i am going to be running for about 1hr 20mins to make it to 10km at the pace I am going at which seems like an awful long time to be running lol. I have signed up for a 10km night/trail run on the 18th January as motivation to keep going with this.
I got all excited when I saw a January 10K in the South West, but Yeovil is probably a bit further a field than I was looking for. Trying to find one this side of Exeter. There's bound to be one near by.
If you got a 5K PB then it sounds like you did really well and deserve a couple of minutes off, especially if you're fighting the lurgy. As a man I know how horrendous a cold, sorry, I mean the death bug can be. You're an absolute hero just getting out of bed, let alone running best part of 45minutes.
Hope you're better soon and the rest of your runs go as planned.
Don’t be disappointed, you went out when recovering and got 5k pb. I’d say that’s an win!
