One year ago I started the plan and thanks the all the support and advice this forum provides, I have run over 1000km over the year. I’ve done many 10k races, and run four half marathons. All of this has been injury free. I just want to say a big thank you to all of the kind and supportive members of these groups, and of course, the amazing parkrun organisation.

Thanks over61andstilltrying, injury free was a combination of good shoe advice, respecting rest days, and most importantly, listening to my body. Several times I have turned back on a run, or turned a 10k into a five when my body said nope.

Great stuff. As a recent C25K graduate it's quite inspiring. Like I expect many I hope to achieve something similar, at least in terms of distance run. Although I've decided to volunteer myself for the IC for the next couple of weeks, it's encouraging to read you managed to do all that and remain injury free.
