Hi everyone, i haven't attempted the Bridge to 10K podcast, but i've been running 3 times a week since graduating, joined a really friendly run group on Mondays and Wednesdays and been doing local park run on Saturday mornings, rain, wind and even hail stones last Saturday. I'm managing to complete the whole 5K park run and really enjoying it, i'm a fully paid up member of the snail gang, but i'm still really happy that i can complete the park run, i still really struggle with the 1st 10 minutes, feel i can't breathe and my brain keeps telling me to stop. i'm not fast at all last time was 38 minutes to complete the 5K but as fellow snails tell me i'm still faster than the person sat at home on their couch, and please I'm still running/shuffling injury free.
Looking to start trying to do longer distance in the New Year, well that's my plan.

There's nought wrong with being a snail. It's where I'm at. I've signed up for ju-ju magic 10k plan starting soon. You could do that instead of the podcasts.
There’s nothing wrong with that speed piglet. It’s taken me 5 months to get down from 40 to 33:13 at parkrun. Maybe slow down further during your first 10 minutes or so to allow your lungs to get working.
Great read piglet7969.
You are doing better than you were 6 months ago, same as me.
Good luck with expanding you distance in the new year, I'm sure you'll do well looking at what you've done so far. 👍☺️
You are doing brilliantly, and dont knock that time, its good. I always like to see any run fast or slow all helping me to become stronger and fitter, and thats always a really good thing
