Our parkrun always suffers when it’s been wet as it’s around the edge of fields and gets VERY muddy. Today was one of those days and I’d be surprised if anyone managed to run the whole route - especially after Carnage Corner 😳. Purely due to health and safety concerns 😆 I didn’t even consider it. It all contributed to a time which was 7.5 minutes slower than my best!! It did mean however that I was able to chat as I went round so all was good. The photo shows one of the muddy sections I was marshalling last week. Not even the worst spot either!! You should come and join us one week - I’m selling it well 🤣🤣🤣
Record parkrun time!: Our parkrun always... - Bridge to 10K
Record parkrun time!
Carnage Corner, love it! 🤣 Great for toning your calves if not for speed!
Carnage corner, just a quagmire, no doubt it will be carnage for some runners shoes when they lose them in the thick mud, at least you have warned us. 😊
which parkrun is this? Scarily, it actually sounds fun.
Carnage Corner? 😱!!
It looks like trail shoes are needed there Sybilw, or spikes. My niece came to our parkrun today and said people have lost shoes in the mud at her local run in East Grinstead.. Well Done for getting out and we should thank our lucky stars that our parkruns weren’t cancelled due to flooding this week. Many were.
We had a tourist from Portsmouth running too. I heard him say how flat his was and when I commented he recommended yours! My next run there (marshal next week, away the one after) will be the last in my age group so 🤞🏻 for better ground. I’ve just met 2 ladies in that group and could have set up a good friendly inter-age rivalry. I’ll still aim to beat them!!
