Parkrun number 22 for me today, I would have believed this a year ago. And even though the weather wasn't very pleasant, a good number of runners turned out (204). What a hardy lot us runners we are, or are we just plain crazy π. The trail was very muddy with lots of puddles everywhere, care had to be taken on the sloppy bits but everyone seemed to manage it ok. I was pleased with my time today 27:10, not a PB but getting closer. I hope you all enjoy your weekend running, be careful and watch those slippery leaves. π
Parkrun number 22 for me today,: Parkrun... - Bridge to 10K
Parkrun number 22 for me today,
My 30th today, and our Parkrun's 4th birthday. Conditions were horrible, and several people slipped over. For me today, it was enough to simply finish (29:40). That's a good ime, Frank!
Thanks Steve, you are well on your way to reach that milestone 50 runs. I find parkruns great, I have met so many nice people who all like to have a chat, what a way to start the weekend.
I think it's great. Chatting at the after-run birthday celebration with the woman that set it up here, she told me that she ran in the first ever Parkrun at Bushy Park, where they have about 1000 runners now. There were 25 on that first one!
That's a great time Frank! Well done to you. Yes it is slippery out there.. I took a tumble today - first time ever but I'm sure not the last. Ha ha!
Thanks IP, yes it was a little dodgey. Hope you never hurt yourself, I know how it feels as I have done it as well. π Keep smiling.
Well done Frank that's very speedy!! πI had to work today at 9am so couldn't goπ
Brilliant Frank !
I see you had the rocket fuel for breakfast again !
Well done ! xxx
Well done. I'd thought numbers would be well down at my local Parkrun but there were just as many as usual. Hardy or bonkers? We're so addicted we need our Parkrun fix βΊ
Well done Frank. Thats 1 minute 25 quicker than my fastest 5k. Impressive. You'll be running off ahead of us at Chichester. Keep it up.
Thanks Paul, some runs go better than others but I'm still trying to be able to adjust my running. I don't know if it's because I run on my own but I still seem to have only one speed. Enjoy your running.
We'll you are faster than me so you must be doing something right. I've had to pull out of the gosport hm. Had a bad cold since weds. Fed up about that .
Sorry to hear that Paul, it don't do you any favours running while your feeling under the weather, best thing is to rest up. You and Ali have been putting in the miles as well, let's hope things improve soon. I will be joining you at Chichester 10k in Feb, and I am also thinking about doing the Stubbington 10k in Jan. Looking forward to meeting up again, speedy recovery.
