Park run tail

After enjoying doing 13 park runs, I thought it time to step up. I put my name forward and was nominated tail. Had they looked at my run timesšŸ˜©. They provided me with a lions tail and my furry hat, I looked the part. It was lovely, everyone thanking me. ā€œThanks tailā€. Bringing them all home. I will do it again. Best bit, I get credited with a run, 59.43! And a credit for volunteering. So win win. I ran on Monday for 50 mins so I better do that again to make up for todayā€™s walk/jog.

I encourage all participants of Park Runs, give back, if it wasnā€™t for the volunteers, there would be no park run.

Itā€™s nice observing other peopleā€™s running stiles.

All in all a lovely time, because I did the steps, I still get to have an almond croissant.šŸ˜³

Well done, Rogie55! I haven't volunteered yet but I think tail walking would be a good role.

Hurray! Well done hi vis hero! šŸ‘, we love you, as you say parkrun wouldnā€™t exist without volunteers, and yes, tail walker is one of my faves, getting a run and a volunteer credit, plus you get to encourage everyone!

Walk it or run it, it all counts!

Sounds good I might try trail walker next. Iā€™ve volunteered twice before as a Marshall- Iā€™d rather run but think itā€™s important to take my turn volunteering - each week they need to should for volunteers at my park run. It would be nice if more people did it. I love that you get credited with a run if you tailwalk

The song in my head is one in ten. Just give it back. We all want to run, but with out our Marshallā€™s we canā€™t.

I quite often volunteer at Junior Parkrun. They need lots more marshals than regular parkrun. Plus, you can run on a Saturday then marshal on a Sunday.

Well done on your first volunteer Rogie! As they say, without you parkrun wouldn't run!šŸ‘šŸ˜€

I completely agree Rogie. Everyone should volunteer once for every 10-15 runs. It is rewarding and it is paying back . šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘
