Right, I’m about to head off to the parkrun (I go early and walk my dog first as a warm up - she’s too small to run 5K but she has a good walk then waits for me in the car). It’ll be the 5K run to start W3 of the Magic Plan.
It’s going well so far, no hitches. Except that I’ve been feeling immensely fatigued the last two or three days. I wasn’t scheduled to run anyway, but I confess I’ve neglected my conditioning training somewhat (I’ve still been doing the planks) because I am just so exhausted. Perhaps I’m fighting off one of the winter bugs everyone seems to have. I’ll take it relatively easy at parkrun today.
I’ve only ever run one parkrun, although there are several within easy reach of me. I love this one because of its beautiful setting and friendly people so I don’t want to try another. But it is really quite hilly! Local wisdom is that you do a different one to get a PB so maybe I’ll try that sometime, but on the other hand, all my training runs are done in gently undulating terrain so I don’t mind really. I’m sure it’s good for me.

That’s brilliant we are about to head out for our third run of week 1 magic plan and looking forward to going for 35 minutes or even 5.5k if it feels ok to carry on
