My first ever organised event. Some of you will know I was anxious as a solo runner in a big crowd.

I really enjoyed it.

Even my non running husband is picking up the lingo. He posted on the family watsap, I got a PB.

Happy running

Congratulations Runningroni on your windmill remembrance 10k. Your husband must be listening more than you think and he must be so proud of you to share on the family what's app.

😊😊👏👏👏👏👏

Sometimes he gets a glazed look when I turn into run bore.

He came, held my coat, cheered me on and had a sausage sandwich for me on return. He is defo a keeper.

Well done on your first 10k race Runningroni - great that you enjoyed it and fab that you came away with a PB! 🙂 I think the extra adrenaline on race day and running with many others can often result in a good run? Here's to the next one...🙂🏅👏👏

Glad you enjoyed it. Did you get bling? What was your PB?

Runningroni profile image
RunningroniGraduate10 in reply to BaddieThePirate

Yes there was bling. 1 hour 8 mins and some seconds. Which is a whole minute and then some better than my previous attempts

Nice one! All that atmosphere running in a crowd, a bit of race magic and it's amazing what we can do. Congratulations on your PB, but what I'm most envious about is your family support/interest- that's gold dust 🙂

Agreed, today has been a red letter day. So loved it. Bed by 9 I think, poor old body just had it.

Fantastic Roni! Let’s hope it’s the first of many 🤞 Congratulations on your PB 👏👏👏🎉

Thanks TC. Absolutely exhausted tonight. I think not just the run but stress I felt before.

I can understand that. I always have a mixture of excitement, dread & apprehension before any run and it’s that x10 for parkrun and that x100 for a big run. Once I’m up and running, and realise I can actually run after all, it’s great! It must be great to have your first big one out the way though, onwards and...onwards 😁👍x

I really enjoyed it and have realised I can do but do I want to. Which is very good thing as a world of choice is out there. I have had such a good day mostly because my husband came and shouted me on. When I run solo he cannot be involved.

That's great! I'm really pleased you enjoyed the experience 👍🏻😁

It was good. I did your use a knee massage on the calf. Was ok but I think I need an expert if I want to sort it in the long term.

A sports massage is great, can be a bit uncomfortable but you get used to it and it's always worth it 👍🏻😉

I need to look after this not so young body. It's like a vintage car, could let it go to rack and ruin or it could be classic. Will book it for a tune up soon.

How lovely that your hubby came along to support you and then proudly let family know how well you'd done...enjoy a rest day or two to recoup now 😁
