My first park run!

Thought I would share. Been trying to return to running again after having 6 wks off and last week managed a hills 3k and 4.5k. So thought the timing was right to do the park run. Never ran with others before. Seafront run quite blowy but it was great. 38 mins I’ve def been faster but I was happy with that. Everyone I talked to was very friendly. Hope this is my first of many and I can gradually improve my fitness back to 10k and beyond.

Very well done. You did it perfectly, when you do it the next time just aim to improve upon your finish time my just a little bit. When you get your text message with the PB you’ll be hooked.

What a brilliant return to running after your 6 week break. So glad you enjoyed a blowy park run, I hope there are many more happy park runs to come🤗

Well done on your first parkrun Tillybeach. Ours is a seafront run too and it was wet and windy yesterday. Still love it though. Your Saturdays will never be the same…. 🤣

Thank you. Well those thousands of people who do it every week can’t be wrong!! It was good to be a participater rather than an observer!!

My first time on Saturday as well, really good despite the weather. Personally I was really relieved it wasn't blazing sunshine?

Well done to you too! Yes the weather was good. I did not realise running would be so seasonal. Not good in the direct sun or the freezing cold !!!
