Completed my first park run today ππππΌββοΈππ»π was hoping to finish in 45 min or less (slow and steady) unofficial time was 39 mins
woohoo!! ππ» π
Iβm over the moon π even managed the walk back to the car π
Circuit 3 was a little tough in places, I usually run at 6 am and not used to people or the heat... and I was lapped by a lady running with a pushchair π³ but felt AMAZING to finish. Looking forward to next week ππΌββοΈ
Also had to slay a tonne of gremlins π‘ at which Iβm becoming a pro! βEmma just do itβ has become a popular phrase!

Last run of the week, Iβm still amazed I can run this far and so excited for treadmill 6K on Thursday, hoping to do it in an hour π€π» but will see how it goes
Unfortunately the gym has a no costume no Jacuzzi rule π and in my excitement / fear of the unknown I left mine at home... but definitely having one on Thursday and next Saturday too... cos no matter what the gremlins say I am doing this again next week ππΌββοΈπππΌββοΈππ³ππΌββοΈπ³ππͺπ»ππ»πβοΈ
Yes I was doing a virtual parkrun with graduates from May/June so Iβve put a post on their Facebook page. My first ever Facebook post ( and probably my last). We ran it in our various locations. This was W2 R1 for me - 5k 35:08. Not a PB but I spent 3k chattering to another runner and forgot all about times. π€£
Sounds like a plan... I have a bet on with my eldest daughter, she said she will finish the 10k quicker than me in April next year... no way Iβm helping her train π
39 minutes is very respectful, to be lapsed by a lady pushing a pushchair, my goodness she must have been going at some paceπ, her finishing time must have been around 23 minutes π
It was a running push chair and she was going at some pace π super fit and went through at around 25/26 mins with her family ππ» so much respect for her!
Just checked out your park run... sub 30 ππ» I have a lot of respect and secretly jealous that you ran by the sea π new one to add to the wish list π
Congratulations, zooming along and you will do 6k in way less than an hour, I reckon 50 mins will do (depending on whether you do and count any warm up / down on the treadmill) can just imagine trying to get our psycho cat into a pushchair π
