Yay!!!!

Completed my first park run today πŸŽ‰πŸ˜πŸƒπŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸŒ was hoping to finish in 45 min or less (slow and steady) unofficial time was 39 mins

woohoo!! πŸ™ŒπŸ» πŸŽ‰

I’m over the moon 😁 even managed the walk back to the car πŸš—

Circuit 3 was a little tough in places, I usually run at 6 am and not used to people or the heat... and I was lapped by a lady running with a pushchair 😳 but felt AMAZING to finish. Looking forward to next week πŸƒπŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

Also had to slay a tonne of gremlins πŸ—‘ at which I’m becoming a pro! β€˜Emma just do it’ has become a popular phrase!

Thanks Dexy5... did you do yours today too?

Last run of the week, I’m still amazed I can run this far and so excited for treadmill 6K on Thursday, hoping to do it in an hour 🀞🏻 but will see how it goes

Unfortunately the gym has a no costume no Jacuzzi rule πŸ˜• and in my excitement / fear of the unknown I left mine at home... but definitely having one on Thursday and next Saturday too... cos no matter what the gremlins say I am doing this again next week πŸ™‹πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ˜πŸƒπŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸŒπŸŒ³πŸƒπŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸŒ³πŸ‘ŸπŸ’ͺπŸ»πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸŽ‰βš”οΈ

Yes I was doing a virtual parkrun with graduates from May/June so I’ve put a post on their Facebook page. My first ever Facebook post ( and probably my last). We ran it in our various locations. This was W2 R1 for me - 5k 35:08. Not a PB but I spent 3k chattering to another runner and forgot all about times. 🀣

I suspect you may get hooked on Parkrun, like me.

Forgetting your cossie is better than forgetting your barcode. πŸ˜„

Sounds like a plan... I have a bet on with my eldest daughter, she said she will finish the 10k quicker than me in April next year... no way I’m helping her train πŸ˜‚

39 minutes is very respectful, to be lapsed by a lady pushing a pushchair, my goodness she must have been going at some pace😊, her finishing time must have been around 23 minutes πŸƒ

It was a running push chair and she was going at some pace πŸ˜‚ super fit and went through at around 25/26 mins with her family πŸ™ŒπŸ» so much respect for her!

I also did my first parkrun today and was lapped by a guy with a pushchair! It must be that pushchairs make it easier. ;)

Boom.... I’m off shopping for a pushchair.... do you think my cat will do instead of a child πŸ˜‚

How was it for you? Did you enjoy it?

Just checked out your park run... sub 30 πŸ™ŒπŸ» I have a lot of respect and secretly jealous that you ran by the sea 🌊 new one to add to the wish list 😊

Congratulations, zooming along and you will do 6k in way less than an hour, I reckon 50 mins will do (depending on whether you do and count any warm up / down on the treadmill) can just imagine trying to get our psycho cat into a pushchair πŸ™€

EmmaA-Fβ€’ in reply toBerksrover

Thanks... I’m slower on the treadmill did 5.5k in 51 min on Thursday.

I think one of mine would love the attention but not so sure about the others πŸ˜‚
