Very cold start at parkrun today but beautiful views and sunshine.
Once you start running you forget all about the cold. Can't complain though got a new pb today of 30.56. Off to enjoy my lunch. Have a good weekend everyone ππ

Congratulations Buddy 34 on that excellent time of 30.56 at Drumpelliier parkrun this morning, you are almost the same time as me, when I ran at Drumpelliier in September my time was 30.55 one second of a difference, I missed parkrun today but I did rerun in the cold and suny morning, run 3 of week 5 of C25K, next week as I have mentioned will be Dunfermlines 100th Parkrun, so I will be running there, perhaps in two weeks I may pay a second visit to Drumpelliier, for the moment I am not sure about that., enjoy the rest of the day. π ππΎ
Thanks AlMorr, enjoy running at their 100th parkrun. Maybe there will be cakeππ°π°
Sunshine? Where was the sun hiding this morning? π€£
Congratulations on the PB... that sub 30 is coming soon!
UNM, I noticed from the rain weather radar maps that the heavy rain was over the north of England, Wales and parts of the Midlands, to the north of the rain, it was sunny and cold, temperatures 1 to 4C, to the south of the rain, parts of southern England, very mild, temperatures around 17C, its that contrast in temperatures that caused the heavy rain.
Ah... the old occluded front!
Yes, when very warm humid air meets cold air you get either thunderstorms or the sort of weather you got this morning, the good news is that colder weather over Scotland will reach your area soon, nice and sunny for you tomorrow.
By the way near to where I live there is the annual Antonine Half Marathon trail run, the runners have to immediately run up a hill which is 500 feet above sea level, get back down, run along a canal tow path, then run through a nature reserve.
Next run up another hill through a forest, the hill is also about 500 feet, next run back down to the canal which is 150 feet above sea level, after that, run once again going another way to the top of that first 500 foot hill, that's the second time up the same hill, down to the other side, along the north side of the main Glasgow Edinburgh railway, cross it at a bridge, finally along the southern side of the railway with a series if nasty little short hills and for the last 300 metres, only then, a nice smooth downhill to the finish line, good luck to all of them, I am going to cheer the runners on. π ππΎ
Great time ππ»
Congrats on the PB.
Although that's the only positive thing I can say to you right now as I'm just super jealous and offended that you kept that sun to yourself. My Parkrun was the wettest and windiest run I've ever done.
Seriously though, good job well done and rewarded with those amazing views. Sub30 here you come!
Well done Buddy34, great time and what a beautiful place to run.
Enjoy the 100th next week too.
woooooo and you are nearly in the under 30 club!! well done
Fantastic!
Well done on your PB Buddy - sub-30 next!π
