How I missed you! Life, mostly work has stopped me going the last few weeks and I've been craving the parkrun experience because there's nothing like it!
I ordered some long leggings and long sleeved top just in time for the v cold morning and thank you m&s they kept me toasty!
It was a beautiful start to the morning, my partner had planned to join me for his first parkrun but a nasty cold made him cancel so I did a bit of walking and a few warm up exercises, handed him my fleece, set the Garmin and we're off!
I felt warmed up and running at a good pace straight away and even had to run around a few people to find a good spot. Through the wooded path and into the huge playing field where you can see the front runners very impressively sprinting!
I accidentally ran without music and almost had to apologise to people in front for my panting!
1.5k to go, not easy now but I know I'm making good time and just need to keep a similar pace. Two young women pass chatting away, how can you do that?! I managed a very short finishing sprint to overtake someone in the last few seconds although I felt like I may die!
Despite this. I recover quickly these days and absolutely chuffed to bits to have got almost an entire minute off.. 28.08 minutes!!
That's me done chasing PBs for a while, maybe..
Happy running this weekend to allπππββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
