This might be a long post - sorry. I went out yesterday despite having had the chills on Tuesday and Wednesday and a day on the 🛋 to recover. It all started badly. Toxic two minutes (10 I’m used to) so nearly gave up then but channeled my inner Fabulous450 and soldiered on. In the end it was comfortable to 4K where I turned for home but soon after that I walked a bit, tried to start again, walked a bit - you get the picture! Soon gave up and stopped the watch. The bones was I spotted a bright green grasshopper in a pile of gorgeous autumn 🍁. Nearly home - just a couple of roads to cross at a roundabout. Jogged over the first one so decided - let’s finish in style so let’s run home. SO. I’ve 2 options. Dropped kerb/not dropped kerb. 🤔 Youve guessed it! Flat on my front (knee - ouch) but 😱people have seen so I jump up and run on in case any cars stop. Well that lasted about 10 steps when I had to walk then stop as I felt a bit light headed (that detail is only for you VRBs (not family😆). I had to sit down on a stone until I recovered a bit (and admire my skinned hand). Oh well, it had to happen eventually I suppose. A shower and I was as good as new - nearly - but with severely dented pride!! Choose wisely my 🏃🏼♀️🏃🏼 friends.

Oh no, your poor hand. Yes, it's an awful shock to the system something like that! When we're tired it can be so hard to keep our feet doing what we want.
Wishing you a speedy recovery. I agree, family don't need to worry about that 😉
Oh dear poor you, please take care out there and dont risk any more injury. Hope you give yourself some more days rest now. The running routes will still be there
Yes - felt a bit sorry for myself for a while there. Better now 😆

This free course explains the psychological aspects of sports injury. When I did the 1st bit I realised over the years my determination to keep going was causing my injuries. Not finished course yet, but scared what other truths I may learn🤔
Rest and let your hand heal, you had a good run shame about falling take. are
Ouch... but good to read that it wasn’t too bad a fall. Good job on the run, after being unwell too.
Ouch, poor you. Glad you're feeling better now and I will remember your words of wisdom next time I am crossing the road!
Sybilw! You have had an amazing run! There’s nothing quite so inspiring as finding that grit to keep going and you certainly did do that. Hey, I’d much rather people sitting down watching me fall, than sitting down watching someone else fall. You were out there! Don’t care!
Anyway your pride should absolutely be boosted because you went out, you ran and you didn’t give up. And after that great 4K and a shower the world is right again! You were all Sybilw that’s for sure!! 🤩 You’re amazing! Well done! ❤️
Hope your hand feels better soo Sybilw. Sometimes i think it’s best if we go with gut reaction rather than thinking! 😂😂
You kicked those gremlins into touch though. Well done.
My hand would have been ok it it hadn’t been for a raucous Oktoberfest on Friday night #dontclapwhenyourhandhurts!! Over 5 hours driving to Scotland yesterday so lots of rest there - it’ll be a cooler next run. 🥶 not 😎!!
