First 10K event completed

[Olney]

In the pouring rain my only aim was to get round without falling or breaking anything. Ankle deep puddles to run through were a new experience with my only concern being what trip hazard they may be hiding. When the run was achieved without accident I was chuffed with 1hr 8mins 58secs. Bring on the next one with my son and his partner.....”Team Wood”. Needless to say they are much faster than me 😂

Thank you. It’s a cliche but I was someone who used to say “I can’t run, no honestly I can’t” so that medal means a lot to me.

Thank you cheeky. I thought about posting one of my muddy feet but I wore my old socks with the hole in anticipating, extreme mud. As my old mum would say “ What would people think” 😂😂😂😂

I was running though ankle-deep water at the weekend too. Rather grim, hardly refreshing....
