I am going along to my local running club on Thursday now I have completed C25K. I am hoping they can help me with my technique and stamina but also want to have people to run with through the dark nights. They train 2 nights a week but a Thursday is for people of any ability as the Tuesdays are for people who can comfortably run 5 miles in an hour.... now at the pace I am going I could in theory do that however I am a long way off running either 5 miles or an hour so the Thursday nights are for me :)

Hope that helps.

Best thing I ever did besides c25k and parkrun. Got to find the best one though. Didn’t enjoy my first. The second one has changed my life. So many friends 😍

Thank you Tasha yes I’m definitely going to do it I’ve been asked by 2 running clubs that go to park run to join ages ago but then wasn’t the right time but now it is I’m ready to move on up yes that’s the thing meeting new people 😉👍

It’s a great idea. You’ll recognize people at the running club I’m sure from your local parkrun. It’s so much easier running with others and you’ll push yourself more. And there will be loads of people with mixed abilities. Also a great way to hear about other 5K and 10K roads races during the summer.

It is a great idea. You will most likely find your pace and commitment partner in the group and that will keep you motivated and progressing!

It’s a fabulous idea KevTrev for a number of reasons:

- You’ll meet new people and make new friends

- It’ll shake up your running routine adding a new dimension and increasing motivation, ideal for when you hit a wall.

- If you join now, it’ll be so exciting and will keep you going over the winter months when it’s so easy to give up!

- Take your running journey to the next level, good on you for moving onwards and upwards.

- You’ll look back at the end of this year and see how far you have come, you’ll be so proud of yourself for getting out there and trying new things.

Says me who is not part of a running club! But I’m also thinking of dropping into a running club too to check it out 😊
